Best Practices for Google Sites administration

Are there any tools or strategies for administrators to be able to track the Sites being created on the domain.

I don't think there's a native function, to search in your entire domain for created sites.

I usually use the GAM PROJECT to made a search of all Google Sites via API.

It's very easy to setup and you can generate a really good report.

Thanks Jan-Carlos, do you have good examples of searches using GAM and the Google Sites API?

I have used GAM ADV for this type of search.

I found the command in this website.

Hope this helps you out.

This probably won't be as robust as you want, but you can run a Drive Audit report and filter for Document Type: Google Sites and Event: Create. I think it will only go back 6 months, but it does return a list of users, site names, document IDs, etc.

You're right! I thought she just wants to see all created sites.

@amira You can create an alert on reports to send an e-mail every time a site is created.

It's easy. Go to Reports > Drive, then create 2 filters before set the alert:

First filter: "Document Type: Google sites"

Second filter: "Event: create"

Then just create the alert for an e-mail, and every time a site is created you will receive an alert.
