CAN NO LONGER UPLOAD IMAGES ON GOOGLE SHEETS

Large Google Sheet file, we use an image in cell via "insert --- image --- image in cell"

Lately no one is able to upload the images, I have tried link, screenshot etc but get the same error on the upload. See image. Anyone have any idea?!

Just a guess, but by any chance have you run out of quota for your account/for the account that owns the Sheet? (See https://drive.google.com/drive/quota for how much you're currently using.)

I have same issue.

When uploading an image in Google Sheets, the progress bar fills up to completion, but then it freezes at that state without any further action (neither the browser nor PC crashes). Among the upload options, selecting to upload to Google Drive separately works as intended. However, this method is quite cumbersome. It would be desirable for the process of inserting an image into Google Sheets cells and uploading to work seamlessly. Such occurrences have happened frequently in the past as well.

Started having this problem yesterday as well (August 9, 2023). Tried clearing cache/cookies, different browser, different google account, different computer. My data quota/storage for my google account is not full.

I found a workaround.  Instead of uploading the image from your desktop; upload the image to drive first and then choose the option in sheets to upload the image from your drive.

I tried it and at least for me it doesn't work 😕 I tried also various file types but still no success

I tried this, but when you reload the sheet the images disappear. Any solution for local file uploads yet?
