Calendar: Month View - All Day Event Fills Cell with Colour

Hi folks! I was wondering if it's possible to have an All Day Event fill the entire cell with colour so it looks something like this:

If not are there any plugins or apps that might enable me to do this? 
I tend to visualise my day in proportional 'time chunks'.

Another alternative would be to separate the day cell like AM / PM so I know what chunk of the day is occupied at a glance...
