Cancel my reseller (Squarespace) and purchase directly from Google

When I originally set up our Google Workspace account it was through Squarespace. I've since moved our website off of Squarespace and would like to stop using Squarespace as my reseller for Google Workspace as well. I would prefer top purchase directly from Google. 

I'm looking to cancel on the squarespace side, retain my domain, emails, files, etc, and then start a new subscription with Google directly. Does anybody have experience with or tips for doing this?

unfortunately we all have been forced to ask squarespace thanks to google selling domains off to them. 

Squarespace are useless they cannot even understand the issue and you get passed around the customer service agents because no one wants to try and gain an understanding or take ownership of solving an issue for your clients.

I also have this problem, its a mighty problem, may I add its was a scenario  that was not considered in the migration to squarespace as it affects a number of my clients. I have 36 domains migrated some are as the dimaon manager so are owned by me. The ones that have google workspace are the problem. Numerous clients have contacted me about the shoddiness and clunky mess that is the squarespace platform. For instance alot would like to pay for 4-5 years of domain you cvannot do that on square space its basic functionality missing that 99% of domain providers will provide. 

but enough of that, the client who have workspace accounts are now getting disruptions to their emails (critical work emails) Square space cannot understand that workspace accounts can have seperate billing details from more than 1 domain user. its an absolute circus at squarespace. Google workspace worked so well up until the migration. The spotlight now falls on me with my clients because of workspace on squarespace        

Contacting squarespace for help reminds me of the tagline from the Alien film "in space no one can hear you scream"

they have no SLA metrics at square space its a disaster 

Can someone at google take ownership of these issues as workspace is a google product

Exact same issue, a nightmare with lack of support and process at Google to get back the Google Workspace and a complete failure of SquareSpace to be capable of escalating the issue to Google after 2 weeks of call and chat (when available) and having paid and created new SquareSpace account.

Hello!

You don't need to create a new console, just talk with your reseller and he will cancel the contract with you and it will go directly to google.

All the date will remain intact, just the billing will change.

Did anyone find the solution? I want to transfer it from Squarespace to Google.  It is asking for reseller id when attempting to transfer reseller. I don't have it for

yeah its a dead end!  

its atrocious, but google have their money from the sale so sod you all you can deal with squarespace and their ZERO SUPPORT! 

thats the long and short of it 

its lovely how they have treated us and it deffo puts a big cloud over confidence in google as a business and brand.

So I was able to get on squarespace live customer services chat and all they did was walk my through the steps of cancelling my google workspace subscription with them, which automatically sent it right back to google. It was much easier than I thought it would be. I just did it, so if I run into any other problems I'll update. Hope that helps.

Hi, ich bin an das Thema domain / hosting / E-Mail neu aufsetzen vollkommen unbedarft und mit rudimentären Kenntnissen herangegangen. Höchste Prio hatte für mich und meine neue Firma funktionierender E-Mail-Verkehr mit google-workspace. Meine Website wird jetzt entwickelt. Ich bin der offiziellen Empfehlung von google gefolgt, die squarespace als den einzíg wahren Partner ausgelobt haben. Allein aus dem Grund, weil ich in meiner Naivität dachte, daß die Implementierung in dem Fall ein Leichtes sein muß. Ich habe squarespace sowohl die Domain, als auch die Option für eine Website und auch das google-workspace-Paket gebucht. Die Installation insbesondere der E-mail-Funktionalität schien auch auf Anhieb zu klappen. Die Prozesse sowohl bei squarespace als für die google-Seite waren gut beschrieben und liefen flüssig. Soweit so gut, bis ich die ersten abgewiesenen E-Mails zurückerhielt und mir bei squarespace anfänglich Niemand Auskunft geben konnte und bei Google einfach kein Ansprechpartner oder eine Hilfsadresse zu finden war und ist. Nach tagelangem, etlichen mittlerweile abgewiesenen business-Emails und Hilfeersuchen in Richtung squarespace war klar, daß meine DNS-Einträge, die während der automatisierten Implementierung keinen SPF-Eintrag vorgenommen hat. Dieser wird in der Geschäftswelt mittlerweile fast überall gefordert. Den hat man wohl bei der Programmierung der Installationsroutine nie nachgerüstet.

Weil die Antworten von squarespace in diesem Punkt kaum hilfreich waren und mir google in irgendeiner dann doch beantworteten E-Mail mitgeteilt hat, daß diese Thema nicht Ihre Themen wären, solange das Abo über 3-Anbieter läuft, habe ich mich entschieden, die Komponenten Website (mit der ich bis dato nur etwas geübt habe) und E-Mail aus dem Gesamtpaket herauszunehmen bzw. zu kündigen. Aktuell geblieben ist nur noch die domain für €18,00 p.a.

Dieser Prozess hat einwandfrei funktioniert, wobei ich sagen muß, daß ich das Paket aus Vorsicht monatsweise gebucht habe und nicht für ein Jahr im voraus. Den WebSite-Anteil habe ich ersatzlos gestrichen. Mit dem E-Mail-Anteil bin ich direkt zu Google umgezogen und habe dafür von Squarespace auf Anfrage auch eine detaillierte Beschreibung erhalten. An den DNS-Einträgen mußte ich Nichts ändern, weil Google von Beginn an mein E-Mail-Versender war. Dieser letzte Punkt ist von großer Bedeutung. Es gibt Domainanbieter, die Dir eine vollkommen eigene E-Mailumgebung anbieten, welche Du über einen Web-Zugang im Web auch betreibst. In solchen Fällen sieht die Welt anders aus.
