Hi everyone,
I'm currently using Google Workspace and sending emails via the default Gmail SMTP servers.
Recently, we've noticed some deliverability issues when our emails are routed through the IP 209.85.220.42. After analyzing other IPs in the same Google pool (e.g., 209.85.222.xxx), we found better sender reputation and no blocklist hits.
We're wondering:
Is there any way to request a rotation or reassignment to a different sending IP within Googleโs shared pool?
Has anyone here experienced similar issues and found a workaround?
Are there admin-level configurations or best practices to influence the IP allocation for outbound messages?
We fully understand the shared and dynamic nature of these IPs, but we'd appreciate any community insights or suggestions on how to improve deliverability in this situation.
Thanks in advance!
@Yazidalami I'd recommend you open a ticket and alert Google to the issue with the IP. -KAM
@KAM thank you For your response, i think it just need a configuration from gmail settings on gsuit admin ๐๐ผ
@Yazidalami I don't see how Google could guarantee IPs for their outbound pools. You could always use a third party service or even spin up a box for your own outbound service though. You sort of have to give up the control if you use a service like Google Workspace. *shrug* -KAM
