Changing sendas address for calendar events

Our company is being purchase by another company. We are adding their domain to our Workspace environment (either as a secondary domain or secondary alias domain), until we decide which tenant or environment we will be using.

We have gotten sendas address in email to work fine where we can sendas their domain. However, we cannot see an option to change this for calendar events.

How do you change the calendar events sendas address in Google Workspace?

And if this is not possible, is there an article from Google Workspace saying this isn't supported?

Any guidance would be appreciated.

@danieldibono As of now this send mail as id is available as another google account, or is it an alias?

@danieldibono If it's an alias you cannot use google calendar to create an event from the alias due to:

I have seen in forums that configuring your google account in the outlook desktop version may help you with that(never tried).

Also,I think many people are waiting for this option to be able to send calendar invite from the alias id:

You might want to post this to the Feature Ideas section here. Doing so will allow it to be upvoted by others and possibly considered as a future feature enhancement.

If you do not already have access, you need to request it first. See https://www.googlecloudcommunity.com/gc/custom/page/page-id/Workspace-Feature-Ideas-FAQ#:~:text=How%... for how to do that.

Once you have access, go to https://www.googlecloudcommunity.com/gc/Feature-Ideas/gh-p/workspace-ideas-group . There, you can upvote and comment on any similar idea, or post a new idea.

Calendar invites always come from the primary email address.  You can switch which domain is the user's primary email or even the primary domain for the whole account.

I don't think there is a help article.  Google does not always list limitations.  If they did, it would be in the help article  Invite people to your Calendar event, and it is not mentioned.

@danieldibono  If it is available as a google account at the moment from that id choose the "share with specific group or people" option and share it with your original id, make sure to give the necessary permissions.

Later you can create calendars for that id from this calendar itself by navigating to other calendar option
