I work for a system development company and build systems for clients using AppSheet. To implement AppSheet, we ask clients to subscribe to Google Workspace, typically with around 10 accounts.
I have two concerns about setting up a new Google Workspace account:
1. When using a new domain
In the past, I created two personal Google Workspace accounts:
The first used a domain purchased via Google Domains.
The second used a domain purchased from another domain service, which was then connected to Google Workspace.
When I used Google Domains, connecting Gmail and other services was very smooth. However, with the domain purchased from another service, the setup process was very complex and challenging.
Now that Google Domains has been discontinued and transitioned to Squarespace, I would like to know:
If I purchase a domain from Squarespace, will the process be as smooth as it was with Google Domains, with some degree of automation?
Or will it be as complex and time-consuming as using domains from other services?
2. When using an existing domain
If we use an existing domain and connect it to Google Workspace:
Are there any potential troubles or concerns specific to using an existing domain with Google Workspace?
3. Billing questions
Regarding Google Workspace billing:
Will the charges align with the pricing listed on the official website?
Are there any additional costs to consider, assuming services like Gemini are not used?
