Content formatting in Docs and Slides

Hi community!

I'm trying to establish what the core formatting differences are when converting a docx to a Google Docs format and a pptx to a Google Slide format. Does anyone here have a somewhat comprehensive list of things to be aware of that will move around, change in conversion?

I'm thinking items like margin formatting, bullet list formatting, headings/styles etc.

Any assistance will be helpful.

Do you really need to convert?

My conversion configuration is off and i didn't have a problem with that.

I can open the microsoft files in workspace normally.

@Jan-Carlos yes I need to convert as I have some add-ons that I use that aren't available when having a MS Office file open in Google.

I'm trying to compile a list with some of the differences users should be aware of in terms of formatting differences etc.

@Jan-Carlos one big issue I mention all the time is no fonts can be added.  You can use all of the fonts at https://fonts.google.com/ and download them for your local machine as well for complete compatibility.  I'm a big fan of the new Atkinson Hyperlegible designed for people like myself with vision issues.  And if you select a font, there are recommended font pairings as well on the page.  Very useful!  -KAM
