Convert a spreadsheet to Google Sheet format within desktop finder or afterward

Hi,

I mainly use my finder app on mac or my terminal to deal with my file organisation. I can convert a doc to google format equivalent by drag&dropping it on the webapp but, is there a way to do either:

- automatically convert (or command to convert it manually) from my local filesystem

- convert it quickly from the webapp within the browsing view not the document page
