Cross-domain migration

Is there any way that I can do cross-domain migration of google Drive as I know google supports only the same domain migration? This is a very serious problem with Google's workspace because a company may have two or more domains and some needs to transfer the data between cross domains.

See the discussion at https://groups.google.com/g/google-apps-manager/c/tQEUjDJOCrw/m/_e_3yx6ZAgAJ?utm_medium=email&utm_so... for one way to do this. (You'll see a reply from me there...)

Hope that helps,

Ian

This is possible if both domains are part of the same Google Workspace organization (which opens the door to a number of additional benefits).

@MilesMoinuddin have you looked at Google Workspace Migrate? https://support.google.com/workspacemigrate/answer/9222862?hl=en -KAM

Hi,

You might try using this utility for cross-domain file transfer preserving file IDs: https://movefiles.app

Folder IDs will change because Google hasn't yet allowed cross-domain folder transfers.
In the case of transferring files to the same domain, the best thing to do is to contact your Google Workspace administrator, who has the necessary tools.

thanks, @myroutes3 This software is so easy and helpful, I really appreciate your help. I am tested to create two test users in our two different domains, and it was so perfect. ๐Ÿ˜„ I will test it with the live users.

There might be some data compromise with this tool, so I stopped using it, I will use CloudM for the drive data migration.
