The same DLP controls we have available for Drive, Chat, and Gmail need to be enabled for Contacts and Keep. Contacts and Keep have become the new post-it notes of our age and users despite being training and told not to use them for sharing passwords and other sensitive information.
DLP controls can find these and keep them from being delegated or shared at a minimum.
Keep: Agree
Tasks: Enabling DLP will open the door to task assignment to users in external domains
Contacts: In order to enable DLP, wouldn't Contacts have to become a core Google Workspace service (not an "Additional Google service")?
Eric,
I agree this is a need for Google to address, since keep is used so often in EDU as a way to store things of more sensitive nature. For example, while password storing is not a great idea, using keep prior to this information was a good alternative to sticky notes near a monitor. I trained people for years to stop writing passwords down 🙂
