I've been away from the google env for many years and just started a new job that uses it. I see in a document you can assign a task to your teammates. The problem I have is that there are many teams I cross, so keeping track of all my assigned tasks is painful. Is there a way to see all assigned tasks on one dashboard? Currently, I have created a label and filter all tasks to that label, but this is self-managed and not foolproof.

They should be listed in Google Tasks. Check out https://support.google.com/tasks/answer/7675772 for all the details.
