Data migration errors

Hi! I need to delete the account of a high-level manager in our org who left under unfriendly circumstances. However, our org needs the unread emails in her workspace account, so I have been trying to migrate her existing mail to another user. When I chose Google Workspace as the source, I found I needed to reset the password for the ex-manager's email, which I did. I was then able to set up the migration to the other user, but it kept erroring out (first with error 18017, then with 18015, and a couple times with a 404 error). When I chose Gmail as the source, I was asked to log in to the account (the one to be deleted), but the person has two-factor authentication turned on, so I cannot log in, nor can I ask this ex-manager for the code that was sent to her, under the circumstances. So far as I can tell, I have done all the steps noted in the error code descriptions, but the migration continues to error out. Our org would like to have that email data. What can I do? Thank you for your help!

@home_n_hope as an admin you can create backup codes for the account and use that to sign in and change the 2-fa settings to your phone and also create an app password for the account to use for the migration.

Hi Stephen, I am suffering the same issue and wondered if you could share how this process you suggest above can be set up in the admin console, please?

@Pixxels  You need to sign in to the account to create the app password, so look at the user in the Admin Panel and generate some backup codes, and once generated use that to sign in and create the app password.

Thanks Stephen, will give that a try.
