Deploy Google Chat PWA

Hello,

In the past I was able to deploy the Google Chat PWA via Apps & Extensions to user's Chrome Browsers.  I was just talking with Workspace Support and they told me that is no longer possible and all my users would need to install the PWA manually.  Is anyone currently deploying the PWA to their users?  I'm in the process of switching my users from Slack to Chat.

I have no solution but the exact same question. Why the heck should my non IT employees manually install the PWA?
