Hi @COLLINS237,
Hope so you're doing well, to turn off device management on your Google Pixel 6, you can follow these steps:
Please note that the exact steps may vary slightly depending on the specific version of Android running on your Pixel 6 and any device management apps or services installed on your device.
Hope so this will work for you!
Regards,
Bryce June
Thank you for your time, but my phone runs in android 12 and the steps you listed are not in my phone like *Advanced, Device Management*
Well I'm meant to understand that *Advanced should contain reset option and system ubdates
Are you the admin of the GWS domain? You should first turn off the Advanced Management enforcement on the OU that user belongs to. Note that this is going to turn it off for all users. If you have more than 1 users, it will make the device less secure. To turn off Advanced Management enforcement on the Admin console, follow: https://support.google.com/a/answer/7396025?hl=en
Did you already setup your pixel device with work account? Do you have a work profile? If you have a work profile, you can remove it following this article: https://support.google.com/work/android/answer/6191949?hl=en#:~:text=To%20delete%20your%20work%20pro....
If your device doesn't have work profile, then it is configured in fully managed mode and you have to factory reset the device.
Well thanks for your ideas, but it seems not that way because to totally turn of that, I'm required to input a code which I don't have,
So far the only thing I was able to do is to turn it off to a no reset state.
These are the steps I used;
To disable device management
- go to <<settings>>
- click on <<apps & notifications>>
- click <<See all apps>>(all apps).
- click the 3 dots at the top right hand.
- click <<Show system>>
- search Show <<frame work>>
- you will see check boxes that are labeled <<Disable>> << force stop>>
- click on <<disable>>
But then it now depends on your device because for some you will still be able to use play store but if you are not able then you need to get a third party app to use...
