The recent update of Drive for Desktop application on macOS is a real disaster!
First of all, we noticed that the general principle of storage had been completely revised and that the access paths were now linked to the Google account, therefore with the user's name, which implies that we can no longer use generic paths available for all computers and users.
Then we also found that some files uploaded to the desktop application were not automatically uploaded to the web, which caused us big problems with our partners who did not have the right documents.
Now, last discovery, when a file is replaced on the Desktop application, it not create a new version and erases those that existed before > we have therefore lost a multitude of files without realizing it.
It is truly shameful to make available to its customers such a lamentable version of the application!
It is clear that the engineers did not test their product at all before distributing it on a large scale, which is really unacceptable.
We sincerely hope for more than rapid corrections to deal with all these problems and we are looking for a somewhat "professional" cloud solution because Google is clearly no longer up to its claims in this regard.
