Dear Google Team,
I am writing to you on behalf of teachers and students to express our concern over the recent removal of the Explore button in Google Workspace. As educators and students, we have found this feature to be an invaluable tool in enhancing our learning experience.
The Explore button was not just a convenient feature; it was a critical resource for students, providing easy access to relevant information and helping them to conduct research more efficiently. The tool greatly aided in the development of important research skills, enabling students to find credible sources, cite them properly, and improve the overall quality of their work.
Since the removal of the Explore button a few months ago, we have reached out through various channels, including Google Trainer pages, but have yet to receive a response or any clarification on why this decision was made. The absence of this tool has had a noticeable impact on our students' ability to engage with their assignments effectively.
We understand that updates and changes are often made with the intention of improving user experience, but in this case, the removal of the Explore button has created a significant gap. We kindly request that you consider reinstating this feature, or at the very least, provide an alternative solution that offers the same level of functionality and accessibility.
The Explore button was particularly beneficial for students who rely on Google Docs as a central platform for their academic work. Its absence has not only disrupted their workflow but also diminished the ease with which they can gather and organize information.
We would greatly appreciate any information you can provide regarding this matter and would welcome the opportunity to discuss how Google can continue to support educational environments like ours.
Thank you for your attention to this request. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
Sincerely,
Alison Rayman - Google Trainer
