File Naming Suggestion Customization Feature

I would like to be able to program a suggested format for new file names that prompt my team to remember to follow our file naming protocol. For example: client_name_projectcode_doctype_date. Is this something that could be created as a pluggin to Workspace? Or Chrome?

Though I can see the attraction to such a scheme, that just not in keeping with current paradigms for file management.  A name scheme as you suggest breaks the cardinal rule of placing multiple levels of metadata in the filename.  Currently Drive has other features to avail metadata storage and management, including folders, Shared Drives, file & folder description text, and data labels, not to mention the typical metadata fields like dates, owners, share, size, etc.

The reason I was putting all the meta data in the file name is to preserve the information across platforms and software since not all platforms give me access to the meta data. All meta data aside this would be a useful feature for maintaining file naming consistency across the team even for short simple names.
