Folder Path Unclear in 2023 Google Drive | Anyone else find this counterintuitive & disorienting?

I find it incredibly disruptive to work flow and I feel this slows me down, thus failing it's supposed purpose to "improve efficiency." No thanks! Can we just go back to the way things were? Visual cues are essential for people with ADHD and the prior design was so much better and as simple as it needed to be. It confirmed what page you were on, what folder you were working with and it's important to know. Windows doesn't get rid of a folder path when you're looking through files. It's always evident where you are and what you're browsing.

I 100% agree.  I should know where my file is at in a glance.  When I look to the lower-right in the Details pane, it shows me the folder name the file is in, but not that it's two level deep.
