Formatted email signatures no longer being included when emailing from mobile app

In the past you were able to send an email from your gmail app, and if you left the mobile signature blank in the settings, it would automatically pull the formatted signature made on the desktop browser, and include it when the email is sent.

Seems this feature has been pulled, and the only way to send an email with a formatted signature using an android/iOS device  is to use the web interface.

I feel this was an important feature to a lot of clients - Could this feature be brought back? Or at least the ability to format the signatures from within the mobile app?

I was speaking to a Gmail Product Expert recently (meaning someone who assists in https://support.google.com/mail/community?hl=en) and they mentioned that the particular feature has been missing for a few months.

Make sure to submit in-product feedback so through Gmail by using the 'help & feedback' option.

Now I don't own an iOS device however in Android, there is still an option called "mobile signature" in their Gmail settings in the Gmail mobile app. Does iOS still have that so you can at least have a signature for emails you send from your iOS Gmail mobile app (the corresponding Google article on the subject I am thinking of is https://support.google.com/mail/answer/8395?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DiOS)
