G Suite Sync Tool

Dear All

We are using Microsoft Outlook and configuring G Suite Sync Tool. many users reached 50GB mail box size which Microsoft outlook cap limit 50GB after that we cant receive email. We suggest Google many years ago SetMail Box limit they pre assign 1GB, 4GB and unlimited instead "Customize" option then we can make 40GB instead of 1, 4 and unlimited we can choose customize option we can work G Suite sync tool with Microsoft Outlook. Other way we are using Imap configuration now but Calendar Contacts not Sync. Could you please help me anyone for this issue.

Hi Anwars,

You have several options:

 - 1. My favorite: use Gmail and Google Calendar on the web UI and avoid mail clients. They're just another source of issues and their only useful if you really really need an offline copy of all or a lot of your emails, or if you're trying to avoid work transformation/modernization.

 - 2. You can use the Windows Registry to increase the maximum file size of the Outlook PST/OST file.

 - 3. You can use the Windows Registry to set a custom maximum size for GWSMO (the sync tool).

 - 4. You can use Mozilla Thunderbird instead of Outlook.

 - 5. You can use an automation tool, such as Zapier, Zoho Flow, Microsoft Power Automate, etc, to sync the changes between a Google calendar and an Outlook calendar.

 - 6. Finally, if you have a recent version of Outlook you can add the account as a Google account (instead of IMAP, and without GWSMO), which uses OAuth and Google APIs to sync emails and calendar (and more). This is  seamless and safer.

I read your answer... About §6, and in particular "add the account as a Google account (instead of IMAP, and without GWSMO)", is it possible with Outlook 2021, computer version ?
Have you a more detailed explanation about how to do it ?

Hi Bernard,

You simply need to add the account and Outlook should be able to identify it as a Google account.

Many thanks for the reply.
I read carefully the dedicated Microsoft's article you mentioned to me.
To be sure I understand  the way the method is described, 2 more questions  :
- are Calendar and Contacts synchronized in Outlook too ?
- it seems possible for Outlook.com, not for Outlook 2021 or 2019 ?
