GCPW on Server 2016?

I work for a small firm - 10 users with Google Workspace @ $6/user/month.  I need a way to manage password requirements and force changes every 60 days. 

Will GCPW allow me to do this?  I think so?

The firm has a Server 2016, but does not use AD.  Everyone works out of the same folder.  Server is only for file sharing...  Sophos XG does dhcp, etc.
Are there downsides to installing GCPW on the server?

My two cents... 

1. GCPW is not supposed to be installed on Server OS and is not supported.

2. I suggest to use Spaces or Shared Drives (based on license entitlement) instead of File sharing servers. It removes the need and dependency on line-of-sight connectivity with File Server and you can leverage Document Versioning, Approvals etc.

3. You can use GCPW on any Win10 devices post which you'll be able to manage password policies.
