Gmail app on iPad - Worst app ever.

Hey, is anyone using the Gmail app on iPad? And is happy with it? I really hope Google is updating this app ASAP!!! This is the worst experience ever. No keyboard shortcuts, no multitasking and no keyboard / trackpad swipe stuff. Nothing. It is okay on iPhone, but it is far far away from being an app that can be used in a productive and professional environment. I like that chat and space are integrated, but that doesn’t make it a good app.

What are your thoughts? Thanks.

I agree. It’s hard to understand why the experience is so bad from such a large company and such a used application. Just having keyboard shortcuts like on the web site would be a major improvement. Could/should be so much better.

The good news is Mimestream is coming to iOS. This is the best Google email

My wife uses her 12.9” iPad extensively for her work. She has found that not installing any of the Google iPad apps and instead just using the web versions of the apps in Safari works far better.
