Google Chat - add to tasks

Hello,

so on mobile when i press and hold on e message i can "add to tasks" when chatting 1on1 and i can create a space task the same way when chatting in a Space. 

However, on desktop - i can only "add to taks" when chatting 1on1 but in a Space i cannot. I need to go in the Tasks Tab and create a new task. 

IS this how it is supposed to work?

I wonder if that will come when Inline-thread replies gets deployed?
