There seems to be a bug in the classroom WYSIWYG editor where leaving a single blank line between paragraphs becomes a double blank line when assigned/published. Please note that this is when typing into the editor (not cutting and pasting from elsewhere).
Google support are insisting that this is expected behaviour, but are unable to tell me why it applied to some line spacing, but not all linespacing. Have others seen this and does anyone have a solution?

In this example additional space has been added after the work "Finished", but has not been added after "applicable".
Edit the assignment:
Returning to edit the assignment you can clearly see the additional space has been added.
