Google Drive file options

Not sure if this is going to right place, I want to be able to download Google docs as PDF files in bulk without having to open each document individually.

When you right-click on a file in Google Drive (on a computer), it lets you download it but automatically downloads it as a Word document with no choice to change the file format

If the developers could just give the same options on the Download option in Drive as you get when you have a document open and do File...Download..., that would enable you to convert documents in bulk.

Also, would be handy if they put the Print option in Drive too so that you could print multiple documents without having to open them.

Sounds handy

Google Takeout might have done this some time ago.

But now I don't see possibility to select specific folder for downloads. Maybe this is possible yet.

  1. Put your files a specific folder
  2. Setup Takeout settings to PDF export format
  3. Takeout the Drive folder to a zip file
  4. Profit

Best, Alex.

Thanks Alex.
I did look at Takeout but, as you say, I couldn't find how to choose one specific folder either so I had to give up on that idea.
Thanks

You might want to post this to the Feature Ideas section here (https://www.googlecloudcommunity.com/gc/Feature-Ideas/gh-p/workspace-ideas-group) so that it can be upvoted by others and possibly considered as a future feature enhancement.

Cheers,

Ian

Thanks Ian.
I've done that now.
I hope the developers take notice. I'm sure lots of people would find it useful to be able to download or print docs in bulk without having to open them.
Thanks
