Google Drive not working in Windows 11 Pro

I participated in Windows Insider Preview and installed Windows 11 Dev version on my Surface Pro 7  months ago. Everything worked just fine.

On 22 October, it upgraded to Windows 11 Pro and my Google Drive is no longer working. The icon also not shown in the system tray.

I have tried few rounds of uninstall + reinstall of Google Drive and two sessions with Google Support with no luck.

I hope someone can assist me on my issue.

Hi there! This thread is a bit old, but Drive for desktop is supported on Windows 11. I hope you've since found a resolution to your issue, but if you're willing to share, I'd appreciate knowing your support case number to see what went wrong.

Hello!

Try this:

1 - Close the application.

2 - Press Windows button + R(Run service) and type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\DriveFS

3 - Erase the entire contents of the DriveFS folder

4 - Open the app and try again.

Having same issue with Windows Home Insider. Erasing the contents of DriveFS folder made no difference
