Google Keep nested labels

Will it be possible to ever add nested labels in Google Keep?  This would give users much better organization abilities for their notes

Hi @MatthewPresley  This feature is not currently available so, as a workaround you can organize the labels by manually typing them as if it is nested labels and can apply multiple labels to these topics if you wish.

Also, I think it is a great feature to be included in google keep.

You might want to post this to the Feature Ideas section here. Doing so will allow it to be upvoted by others and possibly considered as a future feature enhancement.

If you do not already have access, you need to request it first. See https://www.googlecloudcommunity.com/gc/custom/page/page-id/Workspace-Feature-Ideas-FAQ#:~:text=How%... for how to do that.

Once you have access, go to https://www.googlecloudcommunity.com/gc/Feature-Ideas/gh-p/workspace-ideas-group . There, you can upvote and comment on any similar idea, or post a new idea.

I don't think I can post there since I am not a commercial user

@MatthewPresley yes that's true, you need a commercial license to get access to it.

No worries, I have posted it for you in the section:

https://www.googlecloudcommunity.com/gc/Feature-Ideas/Nested-Labels-in-google-keep/idi-p/519652/high...

again in order to view or upvote, you will need access to it.

Meanwhile, you can try the workaround I have mentioned in the previous(even though it is not one) which I think is the only option we could think of.

I've upvoted it as I believe Keep's labelling system could use some improvements, including the one suggested.

Can you please add a feature request for drop down text sections within a note?

And is there an update on nested labels? This seems like a pretty basic function that shouldn't take the team that long to implement.

You guys do have more resources at your disposal than most companies out there lol

I'm also looking for a way to nest labels.  I had already come up with the workaround on my own but it's not ideal.  It might also work to be able to filter using multiple labels.

You could also combine labels and colours (which are also searchable) for another layer of organization.

I find it pretty crazy how limited the functionality of some of Google's and Apple's productivity app is. The fact that Keeps doesn't have something as simple as nested labels, or folders is a joke.

These types of apps should go well beyond that, with the ability to add drop down text boxes within individual notes, to make it easier to navigate the sections of a given note.

I prefer to use a note app vs a document app for just about everything I need to keep some sort of written record of for reference, but Apple and Google both fall very short in this area.
