I have a Google Workspace Essentials Starter subscription on my work account and I want to upgrade to Google Workspace Enterprise Essentials.
I realized that I will be billed monthly based on the number of users I add to the workspace each month.
I have an internal team who will be constant users of the space and use shared folders. I also want to share documents in the shared drives with external users or "visitors". I want them to be able to view and edit some of these files and have constant access to them, but there's no need for them to be part of the workspace.
I wanted to know if I will be billed for these people as well? Will they be counted as users or not?
No—you only pay for the users in your Workspace instance. The outside folks you collaborate with use the Google Workspace accounts that their organizations provide, (free) Gmail accounts, or (free) Google accounts associated with their non-Gmail address.
