Google drive security update

Anyone opted out for the update but just recently users were reporting that the resourcekey got applied on their files Google support identified as a bug but I wanted to see if anyone else had this experience

@R00tj01, it sounds like you did not opt out of the update: https://workspaceupdates.googleblog.com/2021/06/drive-file-link-updates.html and search in admin for "Security update for files" and check your settings.  NOTE: The blog says "Security update for links" but I am 99.9% sure they changed it.  -KAM

@KAM I can confirm with multiple other administrators on 3 domains that we have and are still opted out that's why this is strange.

@R00tj01 are you an education sku (license) customer?  "For education customers, by default the update will be applied and impacted end users will be notified, without the option to exclude their files from the update."  -KAM
