I am a super administrator and yet I have lost admin permissions

Hi,

I am a super administrator for my organisation.

Until recently I had all the permissions one would expect for my role.

However, when I log into the admin console, I am now presented with an empty dashboard.

I can't even raise a support ticket because I apparently don't have permissions (https://support.cloud.google.com/portal/).

When I visit this official URL, I am shown a message confirming that I am a super administrator for my organisation (https://support.google.com/a/answer/6208960).

The domain name settings have all the required MX records as configured on the initial setup of Google Workspace for our organisation.

I have already tried the usual steps of clearing browser cache, trying incognito mode, trying different browsers, etc.

There is no other administrator for my organisation so this is critical as we obviously need to manage our Google Workspace.

Can anyone provide guidance or assistance? Any help would be much appreciated.

Check out all the various options for recovering admin access to your Google Workspace account at https://support.google.com/a/answer/33561?hl=en.

There are a number of options there including getting in touch with support as well as technical methods to prove to Google that you own your domain name and should be allowed to access the Workspace instance.

Hope that helps,

Ian

Thank you for your help, however my issue is not related to the authentication step. I am correctly logged in, and I do land on the admin console, and I am recognized as the admin account for my workspace. The issue is that my admin console is completely empty, I can only see the dashboard and nothing else, no other menu on the left side bar. And also, I can't even raise a support ticket because I apparently don't have permissions. Basically I can't use my admin rights to manage my Google Workspace, and I can't reach to Google Support, so I'm kind of stuck. Is there another way to contact the latter?

Ah, got it. I've seen a couple of posts from other folks with similar problems. In those cases, people have had luck with clearing cache, cookies, turning off plugins, or switching to a different browser (like Firefox, Safari, or Edge instead of Chrome).

Hope that helps,

Ian

Yes, we have tried different browsers and computers, but it didn't change anything. We're just stuck and cannot do anything about it. How to reach out to Google then? It seems that there isn't any support channel for such situation?

In that case, I might try pretending that I don't remember my password, and doing the "support-assisted recovery" steps at https://support.google.com/a/answer/33561?hl=en
