Images in email signature

Hi all,

I hope this finds everyone well.

I am an end user at an org that uses Google Workspace (and an ex system admin - pre cloud based systems, all premises based!), I noticed an issue today with my email signature, the image had gone, I went into the settings to fix this and the only option coming up was to add an image via URL (as opposed to uploading or adding from drive etc).

I tried to do this via URL, multiple ways - local file image, google drive file image, internet file image, none of this worked. I upgrade chrome, turned off extensions, still no luck.

When I tried this on my personal gmail (same PC and browser), all the options appeared as expected, so it seems Google Workspace specific.

I have reported it to our IT and they are looking into it, it actually affected the tech I showed it to and he said many others are affected, but apparently there are also other users that are fine and not experiencing the issue.

Is this configurable in any way? Any views on what may be causing the issue? Many thanks in advance.

(p.s. for what it's worth I also tried it on MS Edge and the issue was still there, so not even browser specific!?)

You should be seeing the image button in the signature formatting toolbar, and when clicked, a window should pop up that allows you to upload an image, select one from Google Drive or link to an image hosted on the web.

If you don't see this, while others do, the only thing I can think of is some kind of browser issue or maybe an issue with a proxy server your organization might use.

Suffice to say, what you are seeing is not normal. If it can't be isolated as a local issue, your best bet is to open a support ticket with the Workspace team, here: https://support.cloud.google.com/portal/

Thanks! We are definitely not getting those "regular" options, I'll raise it!

@PeterSLondon

If you think it could be cache related issue then you can try this method:

To do a clean cache and Hard reload, right-click on the screen > Click Inspect > The right click on the page reload button and select the third Option โ€œEmpty Cache and Hard Reloadโ€

if it is affected to multiple users and doesn't seems to be a local issue,its better to create a support ticket with google team with the help of your admin as @cryptochrome  mentioned.

Thank you, tried this to no avail, will raise the support ticket, cheers!
