In what part of the world do you reside?

I live near Brisbane, Australia on a small hobby farm.

What do you work on?

Everything, I manage a number of Google Workspace domains, manage our company's bare metal and virtual servers.  I also volunteer my time to non-profits and help them with Google Workspace, and lately, web development.

What expertise do you have to share or what are you learning?

Mostly Ubuntu/Debian based linux servers

What would you like to get out of this community?

It is always good to learn something.

What do you do for fun?

I have Arabian horses, and I train them and compete with them in endurance, a long distance competitive equestrian sport.

I'm Joey Hoffman, coming from Mobile, Alabama. I work in Networking and IT in the county school district, the biggest school district in the state. Our district just went 1:1 with Chromebooks this year, after deploying a large fleet of them since the pandemic. So I and my teammates are catching up  to the best methods of managing them and working with Google Services, and our LMS which integrates with them. Hi I am Rahul Debnath .

I am from India , village- subhasnagar, P.o- chakdaha, District- Nadia, State-West Bengal, pin- 741222.

Right now, I am unemployed, but I did recently go through the class from Google and Coursera.org and got my Google IT Support Specialist Certificate, so I am looking for work in that regard. I ended up getting Google Workspace for two reasons. One, to familiarize myself with the suite of applications and the Admin Portal in case I end up supporting these applications in the future, and two, I heard it offers more security than a regular free Gmail account. 

I am a student and I am constantly learning through helping Google workspace features.

Hi 

We use Google cloud service for our business. In day-to-day activities, we get tasks for email backup after exit user. We taking backup using Setup Google workspace for backup & backup file generating in pst file format as well using the link over browser file generating into Mbox file format.

For mapping this file (sharing data) we need to use third parity tools like outlook, thunderbird app. Insted of this third party tool if google adds its self tools then it's more appreciated and valued for corporate organization.

Hello there. My name is Carlos Chee, I'm from México, living in bordertown Mexicali, a couple of hours from San Diego.

I am currently admin for the Google Workspace domain for Colegio de Bachilleres de Baja California, Baja California's biggest public highshcool system. 

I've been admin since we adopted Google's solution in 2010. We have around 70K accounts. I am responsible for all the apps settings, protocols for delegating admin functions, overseeing the health of our accounts ecosystem, general problem-fixer, and training.

I normally work on the Admin console lookingup particular data or use GAM to process batch work (I've found it sooooo helpful). I also do a lot of analysis on spreadsheets, both Google's and Excel's. I also work on Oracle SQL reporting to get out the information about our users and produce the scripts needed to run on the admin console.

Training is one of may passions, in which I've been involved in since 2001 (when a was a student), for this,  I think it's one of the abilities I have developed more. I also like tinkering a lot, poking into PHP, .Net. HTML, CSS, and SQL. I think this has led me to find ways to manage users (before I delegated admiinistration) without going nuts (at one point, we had a little over 150K accounts)

It would be satisfying for me if I am able to contribute to the improvement of the tools we share use of, and learn from the experience of my fellow users.

Hello all,

I am Virgiliu from University of Bucharest, Romania, a Global Admin for Google WS and MS365 tenant from IT Departament. We have more than 15K users in GWS and 50K in MS365 and I am here to ask questions and get support regard how to solve some issues and to make some proposals and suggestions in hope that they will be approved. I have experience in PS and PSGS to automate creating accounts in both platform simultaneous using an excel data sheet and other skills related to the administration of the mentioned platforms (domains, audit, licenses, groups, e-mails, app connector, etc)

Given the large number of existing users and that the first steps in organization of Google WS were not made based on a logical expertise, we now face of the need to make changes "on the fly". But I hope that we will find in this community some support to solve all the problems.

I've been using Google Apps for over 16 years now. Initially to investigate the options and after changing jobs I only kept it as a family workspace using my own domains. We don't use all the features, just mail, calendar, keep and photos.

I've joined the community to get some more info on the shutdown of G Suite Legacy (Google Apps) and was hoping on some information of how to migrate.

For fun I like to tinker with electronics/SoC combine them with wood into smart lighting.

Hi Andrew!

My name is Alex and I am the CIO for a school in Singapore with 3000 students and 500 staff. We have a Google Workspace domain since 2013 and I am amazed by the progress accomplished by Google to this date! What a journey!
But, we still have PCs on Windows 10 and an Active Directory. It is very complex to manage and maintain and my dream is that we can continue to rollout Chromebooks (already 500 deployed) and unify the logins and access to all our apps with a Single Sign On (today we have to juggle between Microsoft login (AzureAD) and Google login (SAML) because it is extremely difficult to unify... third party apps would only support one or another, they rarely support both.... sometimes they would not even offer any SSO at all and continue to sell old crappy Windows 10 .exe exclusive software (sigh!). I hope web based software will continue to become the norm because it is so much flexible and capable of working from anywhere (including on a computer at home or when travelling),  it is also so cost effective and much easier to maintain, etc...
Today I was having issues with Google Drive client. Luckily I found some interesting posts here and added my 2 cents. Read my post! 
I will definitely come back here and share my ideas when I see something that could be improved.

I work as a transformation manager in the IT department for the Nordic Hotel chains: Nordic Choice Hotels.

We have been working with Google Workspace for some years now, and i was a part of the journey for us to go from Micriosoft to Google. 
I can share mye "expertise" on the change-journey we have had in the company - and still are in, both with Google Workspace and Chrome Os Flex. 

What would you like to get out of this community?
I would love to learn more on how to take fully advantage of the tools we have at hand,  and to bring back what i learn to my colleagues and our 200 hotels - the more we learn, the better we become in utilizing the tools we have in a good way. 

What do you do for fun?
For fun i hang out with friends, my girlfriend or my cat! I love a good DIY and genereal cretive activites, so I am a hobby creator in my freetime.
 I also volunteer for Oslo Pride Festival and i am i charge of booking and producing the Main stage for the Pride Park festival.
