We're currently looking at the best way to manage multiple companies in our google domain. We have one company in it's own OU, but looking to add more so we're wondering if how we have it set up is ideal. One problem: their email has our company logo rather than theirs. This also means we have more super admin than necessary because they need to be able to manage their business. Can anyone direct me to any architecture guides for managing multiple companies in google? thanks!
If these are separate companies then you should probably create them as separate Workspace instances.
If the companies are subject to certain law that regulates lots of things, such as undergoing audit process down the road, having separate Workspace instances for each domain will be the best option. You can then use Cloud Directory, such as JumpCloud to easily manage user directories for those instances. Granted, you will spend more time and effort in managing each Workspace instances, even if it's still relatively easy to go around Google Admin console.
But, if leaderships are fine with having multiple domains live in a single Workspace Instances, then i suggest to just use the default image of Workspace. For admin access, you can try creating a custom admin role and assign to each admin for the respective OU, such as User Management Access. Note that several Admin Priviledges must be shared to all OU (cannot be limited to certain OU)
so, in conclusion, each scenario has its advantages and challenges.
