My organization, which is currently on G Suite Legacy, just got approved for Google for Nonprofits.
I would like to activate Workspace for Nonprofits, but am scared as hell that something will go wrong and my existing users will lose their data, or the domain/account will become disassociated from Workspace.
In this post from 2022, before Google completely demoted G Suite Legacy, one user reported that on the (URL Removed by Staff) he selected "Yes, we currently use Google Workspace" and that the account was later successfully migrated.
I am still hesitant to do the same, mainly because that post is a bit old.
I've read mixed reports online, with some users saying that they first upgraded G Suite Legacy to a paid, business Workspace account, and only then changed the subscription to Workspace for Nonprofits.
Does anyone have any reliable information on the correct way to safely make the move?
