There really needs to be a way to have more than one subscription on an account. Our management team needs the Business Standard plan and the rest of our team can use the Business Starter. Instead, we are being told we have to upgrade 20 licenses to the Standard.
If anyone knows a way around this please let me know. I really prefer Google Workspace over Office365, but it's not worth over 2x the cash.

@dkimble off the cuff, I think it's like 200 or 250 required for a split SKU agreement with Google.
However, one thought would be to work with a reseller and see if they can get you a discount that makes the numbers better. This is especially possible for things like 3 year agreements. So yes you still end up on Business Standard for everyone but on a price closer to what you are looking for.

@dkimble This is called a mixed SKU but typically requires a minimum license count and a percentage on the higher tier from my experience. What's the total number of licenses for your org? -KAM

Thanks Iโll give that a try.--

We can solve it. Message me.
How can you solve it? I would like to use 2 type of subscriptions in one organization.
Reach out to the Google sales department and they will set you it up for you. They require an annual contract and a minimum of 10 users on the standard plan and 5 on the starter. It worked out great for us. Though we only needed 3 on the standard plan, but it beats paying for all 30 of us on the standard plan.
Hi, Can you also help us with a mixed SKUs solution ?
We are a non profit organization
Thank you very much
CONFIRMED: NOT POSSIBLE
I just hung out with Google Sales. The rep confirmed that mixed subscriptions are not possible under the Google Sales umbrella, and that a reseller could do it.
My reseller had told me that this couldn't be done via them. So I terminated the contract and moved back to Google Sales.
So now I am stuck. In the end, I will buy storage from a third party and keep Google on the starter license. Short-sighted.
Hi, We are a non profit organization. We are interested in having a mixed sku scenario. Can you please help ? thank you very much
If you are a nonprofit then you should apply for a nonprofit entitlement to your workspace account which is done via Techsoup authorization. Once you get your entitlement you can apply it to your current Gworkspace account which basically gives it for free for the Starter package(with a couple of extras included). They give you very good discounts on higher packages with this, so I recommend this route over trying to split your subscriptions up.
Hi. Can You help me?
hello, how can i get in touch with you
I've been able to do this a couple of times although this last time I am getting some push back. You definitely need to reach out to google sales. I'm shocked that there is no flexibility for mixed subscriptions like there are for microsoft. Agreeing to a year is fine. They should make this process much simpler.
Hi,
Where do you see this option? I really dont see such an option yet.
I have 35 Starter licenses and need only 2 Standard licenses.
