Thanks a lot for the update.

Thank you, Cristian! Very helpful!

Is this feature request still active, I get "Access Denied" when I traverse the provided link. Thanks!

If you do not already have access to the Feature Ideas section, you need to request it first. See https://www.googlecloudcommunity.com/gc/custom/page/page-id/Workspace-Feature-Ideas-FAQ for how to do that.

I hope this has another thread or somewhere that this topic is being addresssed.

Not having a profile photo on an email these days is like not having an SSL certificate on a website. For customers, it leaves them feeling like "Who is this weirdo?"

This negative affect in customer relations essentially renders the entire feature of a collaborative inbox in Google Groups useless.
If there is a way to add a photo, please let me know. In the meantime, I will be searching for an alternative solution to the collaborative Google Groups Inbox.

As far as I can figure out, Google Groups hasnโ€™t had any investment in the 2020s. They did a light UI refresh maybe 5-6 years ago, but other that that, the functionality is largely unchanged since at least 2016.

So thatโ€™s a rather long way to say that I honestly wouldnโ€™t count on anything new anytime soon, and would look for alternative options if Groups isnโ€™t meeting your needs.

My 2 cents, at least,

Ian

That's quite sad. I hope groups doesn't get killed anytime soon. But not having a icon is a big issue when it comes to branding and customer engagement.

Agree that this needs to be looked at. Our groups are now displaying personal photos from members inside a group occassionally. Which confuses users into thinking they're replying to a single employee instead of a group.
