Pooled Storage not Including additional per user storage

Hi,

I am getting warnings that I'm about to exceed my pooled storage. We are at 568GB and have 19 users so 19 x 30GB = 570GB.

One of our users has an additional 1TB and another user has an additional 100GB.

over 300GB is owned by the user who has the 1TB additional storage.

Should I ignore the warnings as an undersight?

For better or worse, Google has chosen to replace the ability for Workspace users to purchase individual storage with the ability for organizations to purchase increases in their pooled storage caps.  As I understand it, it is no longer possible to renew the individual storage purchases, and those will go away at the end of the current term.

See https://support.google.com/a/answer/12284220?hl=en for all the details of the new purchased storage option.

Hope that helps,

Ian

ou should not ignore as those additionnal purchase capacity bought by the user will be removed or are already remove. Currently, for us business starter, we can't purchase additionnal storage space and are exceeding our allowed storage by over 600Gb because of that. Simply absurd

That option is not necessarily available. It isn't for us. Our only option as of now is to upgarde to the edition above to get more space which will double the cost instead of paying a few bucks Or to add a bunch of user and that will also cost a lot more.

As of now, that link procedure is not working for us. It says "If you donโ€™t see Google Workspace Additional Storage as an option, your edition or combination of editions doesnโ€™t support this add-on". What are the supported editions, do you know? We are not seeing any of those addon for business starter

The supposedly supported editions are listed at the start of the KB article I linked to. If youโ€™re on one of those editions and itโ€™s not showing up, Iโ€™d contact Google Support and ask themโ€ฆ.

Oh! thanks I didn't looked carefully enough.

Our reseller is saying that those options aren't available to them either. He is trying to get more information (so it means those information weren't given to them and that a shame. )

Thank you @icrew

Hi, I did resolve this. After a lengthy chat with Google, I had to upgrade to business Standard which gives 2TB per user.

Thanks for your input

Thanks for coming back to me. Yes it seems you have to upgrade your whole package if you need more than 30GB per user. I have upgraded to Business Standard now which is 2TB per user.

I think communication from Google has been poor on this but I now have a solution albeit ยฃ1.50 per user extra!

Would have been nice if the person who helped me through live chat had mentioned that. He said I had to upgrade the whole package of 19 users to Business Standard to get more storage even though only 2 users have data over a few GB's
