Posting Mails from Inbox to Chatroom

So this question came up today and i want to know if there is any feature like this.

I would like to know if it is possible to have a bot who posts email messages from an inbox directly to a chatroom. 

Like for example Slack rooms have email adresses and you can send mails directly to them and they will appear in the chatroom.

Is there an equivalent solution for Google Chatrooms?

It seems to me that it might not be that hard to write such a thing in Apps Script--see https://developers.google.com/chat/concepts/bots for the details of how to get started....but maybe someone has already written one?
