Hi,
I have a big problem here. Last year we used to have personal meetings with student's parents using a classroom in which we switched off the quick access so we (teachers) could control the access. Now I have upgraded the meet link in this special classroom called "parents' meeting". Parents go into this classroom using their children account and with quick access off we could easily control the flow. Well....now it doesn't work. If they are invited in the classroom as students they can enter meet session without ask anything. We need this function working again...
If I have misunderstood you, please let me know. But my understanding is that quick access has changed within the last 2 weeks. Read https://support.google.com/edu/classroom/thread/129471323/making-google-classroom-video-meetings-eas... which is the latest information I know about Quick Access in connection to Google Classroom and Google Meet.
One user did notice for their domain: "I think the main issue here is when you create a new Meet link within Classroom, it is defaulting the Quick Access to Off. At least in our domain. I resolved that by turning it on in all classes one by one." URL: https://support.google.com/edu/classroom/thread/129471323/making-google-classroom-video-meetings-eas...
Please be sure to submit feedback inside of Google Classroom (https://support.google.com/edu/classroom/answer/10011324) and Google Meet (https://support.google.com/meet/answer/7291340).
Other people miss the previous functions of quick access so others can relate to you. Please make sure to submit in-product feedback.
