Re-link an object from google docs

Hello,

Is there a possibility to change the link (source) of a spreadsheets chart that is embedded in a google docs as an objects.

We can update, change the cell range, unlink it, but we cannot change the link from a new google sheets: https://support.google.com 

This would be very helpful when you work on a google doc template that is linked to a google sheet , and you want to create instance of those linked template.
