We have a number of users that we pay Workspace licenses for but have no need for Gmail/Drive or any other Google apps. If we remove their Workspace licences to save money will that affect their ability to log into connected apps using their Google credentials? I have tested it with a dummy account and it seems to be fine but I want to be sure thereโs not something Iโm missing.

As long as the connected apps don't require access to APIs/scopes of services they're not licensed for, it should be fine if you convert them to Cloud Identity (Free or Premium) licenses.

Thanks. Cloud Identity was the term I didnโt know that would have helped me!

Hi Guys,
Im Google Workspace Business Starter user am I allowed to ask any question? or is that my package won't allow me to ask any help?
Barak
You might want to be sure that they are not using any space at all, otherwise, you could get some emails stating that there are problems with the licenses of your users. Same thing as leaving a user without a license, moving users to a lower license could cause problems for your organization
I just created 4 user emails but i accidently created one wrong and delete it but that licence is still intact with it and google keep invoicing me for 4 licences but i have 3 emails that i am using.
