Restrict users from editing their chat messages.

Hello,

Due to business compliance we are unable to use Google Chat because of messages edit feature.

Currently it seems there is no way to restrict users from editing their messages, or at least a way to view previous edits.

Is there any workaround for this?

This is by design, especially since message history is an option in Spaces. And it's quite handy to be able to edit messages.

You might try using Vault, though it's not clear if the message retention includes message edit histories.
