How to setup workspace to allow email from printer scanner

I have created a new account with Google Workspace and I cannot get scan to email working from my Cannon iR-ADV 4235.  Any help would be appreciated.  I want to be able to send email outside of the domain.

I have turned off 2FA and allowed Lesser security for devices...

I think the most reliable way would be to turn 2FA back on and use App Passwords for the username/password in the multifunction device.

Thanks icrew.  Do you know if this make me have to verify each time I use scan to email?
