Screen Recorder for Google Workspace (similar to Mircrosoft Stream for Microsoft 365)

Hi, I have Google Workspace for a few of my businesses, and was wondering why there is no "Screen Recoridng Software & Video Library" built into Google Workspace and we have to pay to use a 3rd Party Software such as Loom or Screencastify???  Microsoft 365 has Microsoft Stream, so I dont know why Google Workspace has not introduced something like this for their users - can you please, please introduce a Screen Recording Software that intergrates with the Google Suite!!! Thank you so much

You can download the video then upload the recording to Drive and share the recording from there

Of course I can, but you can see that's a much more cumbersome flow from what Loom or Screencastify or Microsoft Stream offer

I agree it's an extremely useful feature and we don't like paying external services for this since Microsoft offers this feature.

You could record a Google Meet?  You can present your screen, a browser tab or a window and record that...

Thanks, this can work - the user experience is not as smooth as other solutions designed specifically for screen recording and video sharing, which feels like a quite common business need when you need to show a customer how to do something.

I have a feeling that recording from meet will become a much better experience when paired with the new Google Vids tool that is in early access...

Google really need to sort this out asap!! and introduce a screen recording & video library similar to loom/microsoft-stream

Release a new tool in Workspace called 'Google Screen' and make it a Loom alternative! It'll be so valuable!
