Script from CSV - Google Sheets with Semikolon

i am currently using a template which i have slightly customized to convert my csv files into gsheets. This also works very well. But now I have to convert regularly a CSV file, where I can not use the separator "comma", because this occurs often in the rows. Is there a way to tell the script: please use "semicolon" instead "comma" as separator?

You can enclosure every value in quotation marks. That'll allow you to use any characters in the value, of course except a quotation mark.
