Searching Drive by Label

Hi,

As the workspace administrator I can set and view Labels for Google Shared Drive files.  When I login as a visitor I can see the Shared Drive and see and set labels against individual files, but I can't use the search bar to select sets of files with particular labels.  I think I've applied the relevant permissions, but whatever I do I can't seem to get the 'labels' option to appear in the search box.

Any advice gratefully received.

Visibility of labels depends on which edition of Google Workspace your users have. See the list in italics at the very top of https://support.google.com/a/answer/13127870

Hi Ian,

I’m using Google Not-For-Profit. While it wasn’t listed at the top of that article I can create labels and apply them. As admin on a PC I can filter by labels also. However if I login as a group member using an external email address I can see and edit the labels on individual files, but I can’t filter. It feels like I should be able to do so, but for some reason I can’t.

Any ideas gratefully appreciated.
