Hi everyone,
I am searching for migration solutions being the most accurate with my situation and I currently have the choice between GWMMO, which propose to migrate all necessaries data from Microsoft Office 365 to Google Workspace, which is basically what I am searching for, and there is also the migration tool available in the Google Workspace as Admin, which I believe provides more or less the same kind of services than GWMMO. The thing is, I am not Admin, so for the moment I am forced to only use GWMMO, and I am not really familiar with the Google Workspace environment...
Anyway, if I am asking for help, it's because I need some advices or just orientation tips. My situation is I want to recover all data from many Microsoft accounts (mails, contacts, and events) and transfer them into the Google Workspace environment so everyone gets their conversations, and everything back. The problem here is that everyone has a collaborative mail inbox which takes a lot of space, so when we export a PST file we can only choose the main inbox, and then import it later in the Workspace environment on Google Groups. Everyone has therefore to proceed to the PST exportation, and that may seems like an easy procedure, not everyone is able to do it and it becomes really fastidious very quickly...
I don't know if there is a way to make it more easy or "automatic", like would it be possible to just recover all PST files from all users being in the same email network (all users have the same email address suffix) by being admin of this network, or else, and then import them all in the migration tool?
Thank you for any help in advance!
Hi Flakdau,
My scenario is a little different as we migrated from Exchange 2013 to Google Workspace. We use a product called CloudM - https://www.cloudm.io/
We migrated thounsands of mailboxes using this tool and it make it light work.
This product will allow you migrate from O354 to Google Workspace. It may have new functionality to import PST files as well. It keeps a full audit log and you can re-run projects (tasks) if something fails.
If users have PST files with archived items, these were migrated after the main mailbox came across. We used GWMME for PST Files which did import into Google Groups. It does take a little time for the data to be uploaded but got there in the end.
When migrating to a Google Group, just be aware of the differences and limitations. It doesn't function like a standard mailbox.
I hope I have understood your requirements on this information helps.

Yianni
