Signing into Google Admin console - using your administrator account

I have set up a Google Workspace account. Received the "Activate your new Google Workspace" email. I then clicke the link, enter my domain email (not gmail) & receive the following message. Your account has not been verified. Ask your Google Workspace administrator to verify the domain associated with your account. Can anyone tell me how to rectify this as the email address is brand new & I would assume I am the administrator?
