Switching to Google Not For Profit - what about Shared Drives?

My organisation has qualified for Google Workspace Not For Profit - but we've been using the paid Business Plus plan for the last couple of years.

We're wanting to switch to the free version of Google Not For Profit (which has shared drives) but Business Starter doesn't (or has pooled storage). To transition, we have to downgrade to Business Starter first and then request to be migrated.

The issue is that we're highly reliant on our shared drives, and I'm struggling to find any information about what happens to them while we are waiting to be migrated, and also if, once the migration is completed, will we have the same access as before (i.e. everything gets restored as it was)?

Any support here would be greatly appreciated!

Who is telling you this and/or where is it stated?
